Ithaki Consulting provides Red Teaming services to produce a winning IPE proposal -- hyper[media] turned to Ithaki Consulting when resubmitting a proposal to IPE in the 2005 call.  Following a rigorous red teaming exercise on the ENERGEIA proposal it achieved a score of 8,85/10 and came 5th out of 16 proposals in its category.  The ENERGEIA project will research and develop a new e-learning platform with the subject of "Solar Energy and its Applications in the Construction Industry" that will provide continuing education to the members of ETEK (Cyprus Technical & Scientific  Chamber).  Partners in the hyper[media] project are the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority and Intercollege. Computerised Mind Mapping Open Presentations a great success -- Ithaki Consulting in cooperation with the Cyprus Computer Society has held two open presentations on Computerised Mind Mapping, one in Nicosia and one in Limassol.  For information on what was covered see the mind map attached, pdf format (March 2005) 

Ithaki Consulting appointed as Authorised Mindjet Partner in Cyprus and Greece -- Ithaki became an authorised reseller of the award winning MindManager  business mapping tool.  Mind Manager is a computerised mind mapping tool that positively affects business productivity in such areas as business meeting planning and running, project planning, brainstorming, strategy, planning, negotiations, customer account management and business presentations. Lordos United Plastics Ltd Project Management Services for the implementation of a new ERP & WMS solution -- Dinos Konis of Ithaki Consulting was appointed as Project Manager for the implementation of the Logic DIS ERP and Optimum Aberon Warehouse System Solutions at Lordos United Plastics.  The project kick off was on the 17th of December 2004 and the project is expected to last about a year. ( December 2004)

OSFYALGIA, IPE Project on treatment of lower back pain -- Ithaki Consulting will be participating in the OSFYALGIA project by offering Project Management Services according to PRINCE2.  The OSFYALGIA project is 3-years in duration and will assess the effectiveness of physiotherapy methods on lower back pain. The host organisation is the Pancyprian Association of Physiotherapists and the project partners are the University of Manchester, the Research Centre for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation and the Nicosia General Hospital. BACCHUS kicks off -- The Project Agreement was singed on 12 November 2004 between the Association of Rural Wine Producers "Bacchus" and the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation.  The official kick-off was on November 2004 at Mesarites Brandbuilders offices in Nicosia.  The 15-month project will research and implement a branding strategy for regional wineries in Cyprus.  Ithaki Consulting will be assisting the project with Project Management Services based on PRINCE2.  ( November 2004)

BACCHUS, IPE project on Cyprus rural wineries -- An Ithaki Consulting, as part of its Funding Consulting Services, prepared proposal gets selected for negotiations with IPE for the 2004 Call. Ithaki Consulting prepared the BACCHUS project proposal for the "development of a distinct brand for Cyprus rural wineries".  Partners in the project are the Bacchus Association of Rural Wine Producers, Mesarites Brandbuilders, Intercollege and Netessence. Lordos United Plastics Ltd IT Solution Advisory Services -- The project for the selection of a new ERP & WMS system for Lordos Plastics was awarded to Ithaki Consulting. ( July 2004)

Shopkeeper Survey for Project e-Ledra -- A survey of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot shopkeepers of the greater Ledra Street area was conducted in June-July 2004. All shops surveyed believe that the implementation of the e-Ledra web site will increase the number of visitors to the area.  For the complete survey report click here. (July 2004)

Pierides Foundation is awarded major EU Funding -- In October 2003 Ithaki Consulting provided Proposal Preparation Funding Services and Red Teaming services to the Pierides Foundation to ensure that its “CROSSINGS” proposal met the priorities, criteria and objectives of the Culture 2000 European Union programme.  In June 2004 the European Commission awarded the project to Pierides Foundation.  It is the first time that a Culture 2000 project is led by a Cypriot organisation and Ithaki Consulting is proud to have been a contributor to the team effort that involved the Pierides Foundation, Deloitte Cyprus and cultural organisations from Greece, Malta, Italy and France. MEMRB selects Alpha Nova -- Following the successful completion by Ithaki Consulting of the Business Requirements Analysis Study for the new Subscriptions & Accounts System for the MEMRB Retail Tracking Services, MEMRB issued a request for proposals and awarded to Alpha Nova the project to develop the new system based on its Alpha Partner CRM product range. (April 2004) 

Business Report Writing Course delivered in Krasnodar - Dinos Konis of Ithaki Consulting successfully  delivered the course, Business Report Writing in English, to Investment Bank of Kuban (IBK) in Krasnodar, Russia, in association with People Achieve, the training arm of Peter Andreou Group of Companies.  IBK is a subsidiary of the Cyprus Development Bank.  The course was delivered between 29 March - 1 April 2004 under the title "Communication for Action" and was attended by senior managers, managers and staff of IBK. e-Ledra, Uniting Ledra street on the Internet -- An innovative project under the UNOPS programme "Partnership for the future" has been awarded to POVEK and its partners.  Ithaki Consulting was responsible to prepare the winning proposal to the United Nations. ( March 2004)

IFA, IPE project on Electronic Health Records scores first in its category -- Ithaki Consulting won its first Research Promotion Foundation (IPE) project with the successful submission of a bid for the 2003 all for Proposals. The project partners are GCC Computers Ltd, The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) and Intercollege. The main aim of the IFA research project is the development of an Electronic Health Record ((EHR) system that is compatible with the Cyprus mentality and is user-friendly in design to make it easier for Cypriot doctors to adopt. A key requirement is that the new system is developed according to European EHR standards. (December 2003)

Ithaki Consulting has been upgraded to a Certified Mindjet Partner -- Mindjet, the creator of the award winning mind mapping® software MindManager®, has upgraded Ithaki Consulting to Certified Partner (Premier Sales Solutions Partner), in recognition to its persistently successful efforts to promote MindManager to the Cyprus market. It is noteworthy that this upgrade in status comes only six months after Ithaki was first appointed as an Authorised Reseller in December 2004. (July 2005)

October 2005, Cyprus Infosec 2005 -- The 5th Annual Conference & Workshops on Information Security, is being organized by the Cyprus Computer Society at the Amathus Hotel in Limassol, on 4-7 October 2005.  The conference is the fifth in the series of International high level events organised by the Cyprus Computer Society that gather information assurance and security professionals from around the world.

October 2004, Cyprus Infosec 2004 -- The 4th Annual Conference & Workshops on Information Security, is being organized by the Cyprus Computer Society and The Information Security Bulletin in Nicosia, on 18-22 October 2004.  The conference featuring a group of internationally known speakers in the field of Security, from the USA, UK, Germany, Poland, Greece and Cyprus will take place on 21 & 22 October 2004 at the Hilton Park Hotel, Nicosia.

May 2004, Internet Education Seminar -- The Internet Education Seminar is the first of two seminars to be delivered under the project e-Ledra, aimed at the shopkeepers of the ‘Greater Ledra Street’. The seminar will cover subjects such as the history of the Internet, how the Internet works, accessing the Internet, introduction to e-commerce and Internet security. The seminar will be delivered in Greek by Mr Dinos Konis of Ithaki Consulting Ltd (with Turkish translation).  The seminar is taking place at the Nicosia Municipality Meeting Centre at 7:00-9:00pm.
